Atlantic Puffin coming in to land on High Cliff with Sand Eels

Description

Atlantic puffins come to breed on Skomer Island arriving in March and leaving by August.  On this particular evening I took one of my photography workshop guests to High Cliff when everyone else was heading to The Wick.  We were so lucky as we had the most fabulous light which lit up the puffins wings as they headed in.  This one had a beak full of sand eels and I managed to capture it against the yellow lichen on the cliffs.
