Pembrokeshire Moments Photography Workshops and Photographic Gifts

skomer island photography course where you learn how to photograph puffins and other birds in flight

People often ask me why photography? The answer is simple. My husband, John, bought himself a very nice Canon camera but never came off automatic mode. He suggested I learn how to use it and I started teaching myself. I have attended several workshops over many years and as I am blessed to be living on one of the prettiest coastlines of the UK I had plenty of places to practise techniques. 12 years later  I am now enjoying teaching beginner photography courses and showing customers how to move to the next level in their photographic journey. I’m an official Skomer Island photographic guide and show students how to photograph puffins,  guillemots, razorbills and short eared owls who all breed on this spectacular island. This needs to be booked well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Rachel planning her next Pembrokeshire walk

When I have time, I love walking the coast path of Pembrokeshire or strolling on the beaches. My favourite is Marloes as it’s where I spent my childhood playing but I now live near Newgale so walk there regularly.

If you’d like to plan some circular walking routes before you arrive in Pembrokeshire there’s a great pocket book available here!…

Having grown up on a farm on the Dale peninsular with an understanding of buying local I always try to support local or UK businesses and source some products as close to home as possible – small steps help the UK economy thrive.

My gifts can be found in a variety of shops and cafes  in Pembrokeshire. These are all local businesses supporting local makers for which I am extremely grateful.

I just have to add this little message I’m sorry – but – Gallery images are NOT public domain or free to use, they may not be reproduced without the owner’s permission – thank you for your support.
